Bio of "Unsung Hero"

By the end of the semester, all will be responsible for a five page bio on an under-reported figure or group from the Sixties.

Current choices include:
- Twiggy
- Grace Slick
- Black Sports Figures that broke Color Line
- The Black Panther Party
- Harry Belafonte
- Rod Serling
- Truman Capote
- Susan Sontag

We'll be examing each of these people or groups by placing them in historical, cultural, political and contexts. This will be further studied to include the role that media played in their fame or lack thereof. Further more, we'll be attempting to find links between some of the candidates, where possible.
